Dry The Rain

After a rough week of presentations, papers and paper reviews I made it out alive. Started the weekend off by driving up to Dallas for the Pariveda office visit. All in all the company seemed real nice, they are 34 people big and everyone knew everyone else, a real social crowd. I got to sit in on their “all fins” meeting where they talked about this and next years past/projected performance, along with a couple of special topics. They seem to be keeping real busy with a lot of projects backlogged into most of next year. After that they took everyone out for a good ‘ol fashioned knees-up out on the town.

After that I hooked up with my friend Pat, for some Sushi on McKinney, Velvet Hookah, and Milo’s. Velvet Hookah was AWESOME. They did everything right, from the lighting to the rugs and pillows to the belly dancers and flavors of hookah. For the drive home I went a little nuts at Virgin and picked up the new Santana for the soul in me, the new Sevendust for the rocker in me, and the Beta Band’s greatest hits for the Brit in me.

Ok, I finally found what “YKK on your zipper” finally means. This site explains that its just a Japanese fastening devices manufacturer. One more thing cleared up.

I think my dry cleaner is effing me. Everytime I go in there and take about 4-5 shirts, invariably 3 of them get returned with that cute little “Hey, we replaced a button free of charge” tag on them. I know for a fact that I don’t lose a button every time I take my shirts in. It’s not like they are charging me to replace these buttons but its to the effect of “hey, we fixed your shirt because you weren’t able to you lazy fool”.

This week I got second rounds at Anadarko, USAA and a phone interview with Perficient; whooooOOOoo!
My iPod’s on the blink again; I’mma have to send it in this week and be without it :(
